CORKED

These pieces originated after realising that I unknowingly was saving my prosecco corks, as I liked the shape and feel of them. Damp Cork is used often in a Glassblowing workshop to shape and mould the glass.

Instead of throwing these corks out I decided to create a blow mould out of them to create textured vases and shallow bowls. They are currently available in gold ruby (pink) and emerald green, to represent the green colour of prosecco bottles, and the pink colour of pink fizz!

This work is currently on display and for sale at:

The Red House Glass Cone

I am working on creating lamp shades and tumblers using this design.
